My Credentials

Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)

My 1800 hours education at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy 1978-1979 more than qualified me to take the National Certification Board Exam in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork which was newly developed in 1992.

I sat the exam in 1993 and have maintained this prestigious certification ever since.

Renewal is required every two years and continuing education standards have to be met.  I do this happily, for my many years of practice and study have allowed me to be the effective massage therapist I am today.

Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork is the highest voluntary credential a massage therapist can obtain within the profession—it is above and beyond entry level state licensure.

My ID is BCTMB 005611-00.  You can contact the Board at https://ncbtmb.org/

Certified Aromatherapist

In the therapeutic uses of essential oils, I studied for certification with the Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy in 2005 after short courses which piqued my interest.  Since that time, I have created organic personal-care products using essential oils as the active ingredients.
