With 9 years of corporate and government administration under my belt, I quit an unfulfilling desk job in Ottawa to attend the only massage school in Canada at the time, in Toronto. A radical step in 1978 that raised eyebrows.
I love being part of the changes clients make for the better.
It took me many years to accept the label "healer" that clients often give me but, finally, I have -- knowing full well that I am but a catalyst for others to perform their own healing -- grateful to be trusted on their journey and appreciative of my personal and professional growth because of that.
I'm often asked what kind of massage and bodywork I practice. It's a reasonable question... but there's no definitive label for a lifetime of touch and connection.
All the courses, methods and techniques I‘ve studied along with my interest in whole food, exercise, meditation, philosophy and mindfulness have become integral to who I am and the service I offer.
At the foundation is gentleness and a knowing that everything has a place and serves a beneficial purpose, even when it's painful in the midst of it. I believe we each have the power within us to heal, to grow, to live in harmony with others and to prosper.
Sometimes we just need a little extra help and guidance.
